The person marked "Dad" in this photograph is my Great-Grandfather, George Beach. My only memories of him are when he was in his nineties. This is also the only photograph my grandmother has of him as a young man. He played on a traveling baseball team (obviously) for a time and the restoration of this piece is only 10% completed at this point. Believe it or not, it looked a bit worse when I started, and or some odd reason, I have to work left to right. Antique photo restoration is not my main focus, so I will probably finish this sometime in the next decade. I started this 3 years ago...

Jim Breading's 1-Minute Photoshop projects:

Simple. Knockout finch picture. Created Text with text effects. Text gradient is Photoshop "copper" preset. Warped text "bulge" and used Eraser tool to fade out finch picture. Copy/Pasted finch head behind the text layer over text layer for effect.

Sampled colors from areas and marquee+filled areas to replace old text. Used patch tool for smaller areas. Used Engravers MT, Edwardian Script, and Old English for new fonts.
